The Singapore Flyer has everything: 541 feet of height, a ride duration of 30 minutes and panoramic views of Marina Bay.

Tourist Attractions in Singapore

The Singapore Flyer is one of the biggest observation wheels in the world, with its 165 meters (541 ft.) and its ride duration of 30 minutes. It has 28 cabins and all of them are spacious enough to fit 28 passengers.

Celebrate Special Occasions at Singapore Flyer

The Singapore Flyer is, without doubt, one of the main attractions in Singapore, not only for tourists but also for locals. Actually, nowadays, one of the most popular traditions among Singaporeans is to organize birthday parties, New Year celebrations, anniversaries and wedding proposals on the ride. According to a common belief they have, if you are unsure about the answer you’ll receive when you propose, you should take your partner to the Singapore Flyer and propose at the highest point of the ride. That way, since your loved one will be enjoying the wonderful view, it will be impossible for him/her to say “no”.

Panoramic View of Singapore

Up there, you’ll have a panoramic view of all Singapore and, from time to time, on clear days, you’ll even be able to see all the way through Malaysia and Indonesia. However, there’s one special place that you’ll definitely be able to see from there, and that’s Marina Bay. It’s the famous Singapore bay that is surrounded by hotels, museums, auditoriums, restaurants, shopping centers and even a stadium.

Wonder Full Light & Water Show

From Thursday to Sunday nights, weather permitting; there are three lights and music shows called Wonder Full Light & Water Show presented all along the bay. They are totally free and have an approximate duration of 15 minutes.

Many people will tell you that the best seats to enjoy the show are at the hotel found right in front of the bay, but if you want to have a different and more economical experience, we recommend that you ride the Singapore Flyer 10 to 15 minutes before the show begins. This will give you the chance to enjoy the biggest Asian lights and music show from the highest point in Singapore.

Take into account that the lights and music shows at Marina Bay are presented Thursdays to Sundays at 20:00 and 21:30. Fridays and Saturdays there’s an additional show at 23:00.

Singapore Flyer Flight Duration

You must get in the cabin 15 minutes before the show starts so that you can be at the top once the show begins. Special reminder! Don’t forget to consider that before reaching the cabin area you must queue and the lines are not always short.

The Best Season to Visit Singapore

Avoid the rainy season in Singapore, which lasts from October to December. During those months, it practically rains every day, so you run the risk of not being able to ride the Singapore Flyer or see the show.
